MND (29th) was informed by NRCC (National Rescue Command Center) at 1826 yesterday as technician personnel repairing the light house on Pengjia Islet accidentally fell into the sea at 47 nautical-mile north-east from Songshan air base and the military aircraft was requested. For the inconclusive search result MND (30th), today at 0845, has detached an aircraft S-70C (No. C-493) to carry out the rescuing mission. The aircraft took off at 0852 and reached the target zone at 0928 but still had zero result in searching. It returned at 1129 and landed at Songshan airport at 1207. Currently the rescuing vessels of Coast Guard Administration are still in operation and MND is standing by.
